Don\'t use Windows repair feature, it will repair nothing, only further mess up your drive.

Encryption Troubles

I have encrypted my system partition but DC bootloader does not accept password.

  1. National symbols in password. If your keyboard has QWERTZ or AZERTY layout, then you can use symbols only from the following sets: [a-z][A-Z][0-9].
    1. Boot from Live Media with DC (or connect your drive to another system with DC) to mount, check for bootloader or decrypt volume.

I did nothing, encrypted system just does not boot anymore.

I have accidentally formatted mounted encrypted partition.

Decrypt partition and use any data recovery software.

I have accidentally formatted unmounted encrypted partition.

I have deleted second partition and system does not boot anymore.

I have "Error 4" when trying to mount encrypted volume

  1. Password is not correct.
  2. Your volume header is corrupted.
    1. Restore header from backup.
